Refrigeration systems often reject huge amounts of heat, this heat is generally low grade and often overlooked.  However, with well-engineered systems this heat can be recycled and fed back into your building or other processes; directly offsetting the use of other heating energy sources.  This offers both great returns on investment and carbon savings, plus you’ll also get the sense of ‘doing the right thing’.

With gas & electric prices constantly rising and continuity of its future supply uncertain, heat pumps are becoming an increasingly attractive provider of heat.

The heat recovered from refrigeration systems can provide heat to a number of applications, these include:

Hamilton-Clark regularly work on schemes where a significant hot tap water demand is entirely satisfied by heat recovered from refrigeration plant.  We often find that lower water temperatures for space heating work perfectly well and that typical boiler temperatures are often not required.  If higher temperatures are occasionally necessary, the heat recovery system can be supplemented by another means.  This is where intelligent design and control come in.
